Communication interface Ethernet describes ethernet connection type. Device is connected to the PC through ethernet interface by LAN adapter (datalogger only).

New communication interface (port) Ethernet

Creating of new communication interface (port) is designed as wizard with 2 steps.

Step 1: Selection of communication interface type

For connection through ethernet select LAN adapter option and press Next button.

Step 2: Communication interface properties settings

Write interface name (Port name), write IP address of the LAN adapter (IP address) or try to find address by button , set port number (option Port number) - keep default value 10001, choose if you allow autodownload function use this interface (port) by option Autodownload and press OK button.

Edit communication interface (port) Ethernet

Port name
Name of communication interface (port). This option is designed for interface (port) identification in the list of communication interfaces (ports).

IP address
IP address of your LAN adapter on the local network. If you have no information about ip addresses and networking on your local network, please contact your network administrator.

Search ()
IP address can be searching on your local network by button. This function searching local network for all compatible ethernet devices and show them in the list. You may select one of them and input IP address of the selected item to the IP address option. Through this function is possible to solve some problems with IP address settings. See IP address troubleshooting.

Port number
This option sets destination port for ethernet communication. Default value is 10001. Please keep this default value.

Autodownload
This option enable selected interface for autodownload function.
