Communication interface USB, RS232 describes serial connection type. Device is connected to the PC through serial interface by USB or RS232 adapter. According to the device you want to connect, use right communication cable/adapter - USB or COM adapter for datalogger, USB communication cable for ATP serie).

New communication interface (port) USB, RS232

Creating of new communication interface (port) is designed as wizard with 2 steps.

Step 1: Selection of communication interface type

For connection through USB or RS232 select Serial port (COM...) option and press Next button.

Step 2: Communication interface properties settings

Write interface name (Port name), select communication port from the list of available ports (Port number), choose if you allow autodownload function use this interface (port) by option Autodownload and press OK button.

Edit communication interface (port) USB, RS232

Port name
Name of communication interface (port). This option is designed for interface (port) identification in the list of communication interfaces (ports).

Port number
Communication port is serial port (COM) for communication on your computer side through which program communicate with the device.

Autodownload
This option enable selected interface for autodownload function.
